A tall cushion-cut centre stone, held upright by four claws, stands at the centre of this ring. On each side, three tapered baguettes step outward in staggered tiers, like the panels of a craft unfolding in orbit. The geometry is pure Art Deco, and the idea comes from the space age: one body at the centre, holding everything around it in place.
The name comes from the Latin satelles, an escort. Here the escorts are the baguettes, and the centre belongs to her.
Satellite is made to be worn every day, with a presence that holds its own. The centre stone is a show-stopper, set in 14k or 18k gold or platinum.
The Composition
- central: natural tanzanite, 2.63 ct, 6.57 x 10 x 65 mm, untreated, hardness 6.5-7, origin - Tanzania.
- lab grown diamonds: VS clarity, H colour, 0.52 ct total.
