#100 · Sagitta

Sagitta is one of the oldest constellations on record, catalogued by Ptolemy nearly two thousand years ago — and one of the smallest. Its name is Latin for "arrow," and unlike almost every other arrow in the sky's mythology, this one appears alone: no bow, no archer, no hand drawing it back. Just the arrow itself, already in flight.

That's what sets it apart from the usual telling. An arrow is normally shown as part of a larger scene — someone's aim, someone's story. Sagitta keeps only the object in motion, defined by its own trajectory rather than by whoever released it.

The stone in this ring is cut to that same directness: a single pointed tip at the base, widening toward a flat, clean edge at the top, the whole shape reading as one continuous line rather than a cluster of angles. The diamonds framing it don't sit as a halo so much as an outline, tracing the arrow's profile the way fletching marks the tail of a real one.

Called Sagitta, the ring holds onto that same idea — a form recognized purely by its own shape and direction, needing nothing else in the frame to explain what it is.
